Sudden job loss can affect anyone. Lots of different people are just 1 paycheck away from homelessness. Without a paycheck, people suddenly lose their apartment or house. Where is somebody suppose to go? In just 1 month, people can suddenly go from full-time employment, to homelessness --- with no way to pay the rent.
Shelters exist for a variety of reasons. In other cases, a victim of domestic violence needs --- a safe place to go ---- very fast! The doors at a shelter are open to everyone.
Someone else might have suffered --- a house fire.
Everything they own is gone. Including the floor.
They also need a place to go. A place to start over.
Emergency shelters exist for "people in crisis" who suddenly need a place to live. Without sleeping on the street.
We think it's a good cause.
The same resources are available to everybody.
No matter what reason brought them there.

Charitable donations are "built-in" as part of AA Tickets.
Above and beyond all the normal operating costs for each camping trip - which includes the driver(s), ongoing vehicle maintenance expenses, all the gas required to get there and back, road insurance (per day), parking fees, toll roads, campground fees and shower tokens (as needed) - a percentage of all AA Ticket sales also help support local emergency shelters which assist "the homeless".
AA Tickets average @ $49/Per Day X Total # of Days.
Costs per day may fluctuate slightly depending on location.
Local "weekend trips" produce smaller donations. However, there are plenty of weekends available year-round for people to go camping. Extended 7-10 day camping trips that go to other places "out of state" contribute larger donations to local homeless shelters, because the amount of your donation is directly proportional to the total # of days.

If somebody lost their job, even the smallest donations can provide critical things to people at shelters, such as bus passes for "the unemployed". A bus pass can make a critical difference in somebody else's life --- allowing them to get to an important "job interview" that allows them to get out of a homeless shelter, and back into a house or apartment.

The more exotic the camping trip you take with us, the more your AA Ticket will produce a donation to charity. Not only will a bigger camping trip, produce a bigger donation to a local shelter, you're "out of state" travel experience will create memories that last for a lifetime.
We keep receipts and provide receipts as a public record of all charitable donations to local area homeless shelters.
We "log" all our receipts into a book for verification.

Each person's AA TIcket contributes a few dollars (per day) but these small donations "add up" quickly, because Adventure Avenue manages hundreds of people registering for all kinds of different kinds of camping trips all around the State of California.
We "check out" each emergency shelter ahead of time,
to determine if it's a reputable organization.
